Mayor Richard Bissen recently shared some uplifting updates on Lahaina’s ongoing recovery in his annual State of the County Address. Here are a few key

💧 Water & Sewer Improvements: Water service has been fully restored in Lahaina—two years ahead of schedule. The sewer system is now 90% repaired, on track for full operation by the end of April.
🚧 Road Access: Road restrictions in Lahaina are anticipated to be fully lifted by this summer,
easing traffic in the area.
🏘 Accelerated Housing Progress: In 2024 alone, 620 new housing units were completed, with another 1,200 units scheduled for completion within the next two years. The County approved 320 rebuilding permits, with 200 homes currently under construction!
