Summer is upon us, and that means more sunshine, beach days, and fun on Maui! While summer is typically our busiest time, this June is shaping up to be different. Historically, June is booming and businesses are full and busy! But this year, there is a noticeable dip
in reservations across industries on Maui, which means this could be your chance to snag some last-minute deals!. Expect special offers from airlines, activity companies, and accommodations popping up soon. It's the perfect time to plan your dream getaway to Maui without breaking the bank.
In other news, Lahaina's recovery is making strides. The Department of Health conducted lead screenings from December to February on 557 people to check potential lead exposure from Lahaina’s toxic ash. Encouragingly, only 4.8% were found to potentially have been exposed, with many believed to be false positives. This suggests that the wildfires did not result in clinically significant
exposure to contaminants in ash!. Additionally, the Lanai ferry, which had struggled after losing vessels and equipment, is now back to operating three rounds starting in June from Ma'alaea. Exciting times ahead as Lahaina and the surrounding areas continue to rebuild and thrive!
Safe Travels,
