Updates - - Maui has a new mayor! Richard Bissen, a retired judge, has been elected with 58% of the vote. The governor-elect is Josh Green, who had been the Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii since 2018.
- - There has been minor activity from Big Island's Maunaloa volcano. But, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) have been monitoring the volcano and say there is no reason to alter travel plans to any of the Hawaiian Islands at this time.
- - The beloved Kula Lodge in Upcountry Maui has been sold to the previous owner of 5 Palms Restaurant. The Vojdanis plan to make upgrades while still keeping the charm of the lodge.
- -Fire fighters have been fighting a 2,100 acre wildfire since Tuesday morning in Kauaula
Valley. The fire is 40% contained as of November 14th.
